Greek Quarter, Bermuda Triangle, Ruprechts church

The first Greek community settled in Vienna as early as the 12th century, when the Babenberg Heinrich Jasomirgott moved to Vienna with his Byzantine wife Theodora Komnena and her court. You will learn interesting facts about the Greek quarter and walk across the Fleischmarkt to the Bermuda Triangle, known for its cosy bars and pubs.

Supposedly, the atmosphere in the pubs of the Bermuda Triangle is so good that some visitor is said to have disappeared for some days... ;-)

St. Stephans Square, Graben

Am Hof, Herrengasse, Minoriten church

Am Hof was the first Viennese residence of the Babenberg dukes. Emperor Franz II/I proclaimed the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire from the church "Am Hof" and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave his first concert in Vienna at this address in a palace.

You continue along Herrengasse to the Minoriten church.

Ballhausplatz, Heroes´ square, Imperial Palace

Via Ballhausplatz, the seat of the Federal Chancellery, we continue to Heroes´ square. This is named after the two equestrian statues of Prince Eugene and Archduke Charles. From here you enter the Hofburg, the former imperial residence of the Habsburgs, and learn everything worth knowing about the construction history of this impressive building.

The Hofburg houses several museums and exhibition areas as well as the Spanish riding school with the famous Lippizaner horses. Take the opportunity to visit!

Albertina, Opera

The Albertina is the world's largest print collection with around one million exhibits. It was collected by the art lovers Archduchess Marie Christine (a daughter of Maria Theresa) and her husband Albert of Saxe-Teschen and can now be seen as a permanent exhibition in Palais Albrecht.

Opposite the palace is the Vienna State Opera, one of the world's leading opera houses. You will learn interesting facts about the building and the time of the construction of the Ring boulvard.

In addition to the Albertina, Palais Albrecht is also home to the Batliner Collection, a permanent exhibition ranging from Monet to Picasso. Absolutely worth seeing!
